One and Done Hunting Rifle

This is what I would do. If it’s one and done I recommend the following:

Custom action: defiance, zermatt, kelbly, impact, BAT, etc

Manners CS Elite fill with mini chassis

22 inch sendero or light varmint contour in fast twist 6.5CM, .308 family of cartridges, or .30-06

Threaded for a brake or can

Timney, jewel, or trigger tech

Harris Bipod

Qaulity scope like upper end bushnells, NF, upper end vortex like the LHT, S&B, Etc….

Very similar to specs on the Proof Research Rifles.

You mean like this one? One and done, 6.5CM FTW, shake and bake.

Around here - Remington 700 Sendero chambered in .30-06 (I like the 06 over the .308 because I can go up to a 220 grain bullet for larger game, .308 maxes out closer to 180 grain). That being said, assuming acquiring ammunition wasn't an issue, and I lived in the North closer to Canada, it would be a 30-378 Weatherby, ballistically phenomenal (-9" drop at 400 yards with a 220 grain bullet and a muzzle velocity of 3,050 fps) but not a great rifle for anything smaller than a large buck.

M77 or model 70 in 280. For 95% off all scenarios though, Marlin 336 in 30-30.
Hand loads for everything, you’d be surprised at what 130gr and 180gr speers outa the old lever can accomplish!
