If you divide the "city" up by way of the interstates, there are some great areas, good areas, bad areas, and some plain no go areas. ITP we are talking.
Generally the quadrant north/west of I 85 over to I 75 is good/great. Think Brookhaven, Buckhead.
Generally the quadrant south/east of I 85 to South Decatur is good/fine. The line runs parallel to ! 20 about 3 miles north of it.
Generally the quadrant north of I 20 west of I 75 to Marietta Blvd is good, (West Midtown) turns great once you get North of 17th st.
South of I 20 with the exception of the Grant Park area is generally not nice.
I live in Brookhaven, used to live in West Midtown.
. so murder and robbery was scarier back then, mostly because criminals didn't worry about cell phone footage and quite frankly there were parts of town you just didn't go to unless you had to. now I can go to any part of Atlanta for the most part and not have to worry about being in the wrong place; now the wrong place will usually come to you lol. also with the younger generation there is this horrible ego and social media thing, so the whole riding around on dirt bikes and flaunting your ass to everyone and the law is kinda a newer thing IMOI've been here 21 yrs. and the only time i've been near Atlanta is the V.A.& a couple M&G. Got me a log home in the woods and haven't lost anything in the city.I was posting in another thread about Atlanta and was surprised at some of the hate for the city ... some people calling it a 100% ****hole. I wanted to get the general sentiment of the ODT.
Since the ATL is a sprawl, I'm thinking the "city" is anything inside 285.
