Early polling is not looking good for the city that is too busy to hate.

What about the good affluent white people that live in Midtown, Decatur, Brookhaven, Buckhead, Vinnings? These are wealthy business owners and good capitalists. Also, y'all know there are some megachurches ITP housing thousand of good Christian people. Lastly, there is still plenty of conservatives ITP.

If you divide the "city" up by way of the interstates, there are some great areas, good areas, bad areas, and some plain no go areas. ITP we are talking.

Generally the quadrant north/west of I 85 over to I 75 is good/great. Think Brookhaven, Buckhead.

Generally the quadrant south/east of I 85 to South Decatur is good/fine. The line runs parallel to ! 20 about 3 miles north of it.

Generally the quadrant north of I 20 west of I 75 to Marietta Blvd is good, (West Midtown) turns great once you get North of 17th st.

South of I 20 with the exception of the Grant Park area is generally not nice.

I live in Brookhaven, used to live in West Midtown.

Not sure how many of us conservatives/Libertarians left. Lots of Lawyers/ Corporate types/ Govt beauracraps, shocking how many are genuine bed wetters/do gooders/hand wringers/ we aren't "giving" enough types.

Pretty much all of this, including where I currently live and used to live.

ive been here since day 1

here is my serious critique

too many ****ing people now. also with the movie industry and other trendy business flocking here in the past decade, spending has become rampant (see city and gov thinks your money is their money). apart from that this town was NEVER planned out. they are trying to accommodate mass transit and a DOT system which makes little to no sense. even an expansion of anything. this very second would take years to implement and when it was finished the problem it was supposed to have fixed had gotten worse.

use to be traffic was always a thing, but you could avoid it by driving at certain times of the day or if you were form here you knew all the back roads. now traffic is always a thing WAZE app has ruined all the nifty cut throughs many folks use to know rendering them just as bad if not worse than the main thoroughfares (I've learned to use my GPS exclusively, not because I dont know where I'm going but it tells me time tables for my arrival). plus people are ****ty drivers

also this towns crime has changed, I dont know if its a bad or good thing. Atlanta use to have bad areas (you OTP guys, lol, I laugh when you think its bad now). freak0nik was a thing back in the days, boy that was fun :) . so murder and robbery was scarier back then, mostly because criminals didn't worry about cell phone footage and quite frankly there were parts of town you just didn't go to unless you had to. now I can go to any part of Atlanta for the most part and not have to worry about being in the wrong place; now the wrong place will usually come to you lol. also with the younger generation there is this horrible ego and social media thing, so the whole riding around on dirt bikes and flaunting your ass to everyone and the law is kinda a newer thing IMO

prices are ok, except for the housing. it is vastly overinflated. all the west coast and yankee city dwellers think paying 2200 dollars for a flat is a steal because its off the belt line. hats another reason for the traffic ATLANTA USE TO HAVE NEIGHBORHOODS. holy ****, every time I turn around a new buffer zone between neighborhoods (one where people didn't live because of industrial zoning or tracks or what have you was kinda in the way) has new mixed use developments going in to it. the city has gotten so mother ****ing friendly with developers that they have no qualms about eroding all the zoning regs and cramming folks into high rises that of which the new population (most of whom own cars) cannot be supported with the crappy one to two lane roads that are present

we have always been corrupt too.....but at least it only takes 1 term out of office to catch up with your filthy ass (talking about you kasim reed you fantastic piece of ****).

**** our sports teams lol. Arthur blank is a yankee asshole far as I'm concerned and professional sports is for fools, especially in this town. how fickle our sports have been, go thrashers!! no, ohh ya that didn't last. go hawks?? naw lol, how bout them Cobb county braves! or better yet, our new football, err soccer, orrr football (which is more trendy to say in americas right now?) eh soccer, our soccer team is brand new with mostly players not from Atlanta (or even the ****in country) yet we are Atlanta united....why is it named like an insurance company?

to summarize the above= **** this town

I was posting in another thread about Atlanta and was surprised at some of the hate for the city ... some people calling it a 100% ****hole. I wanted to get the general sentiment of the ODT.

Since the ATL is a sprawl, I'm thinking the "city" is anything inside 285.
I've been here 21 yrs. and the only time i've been near Atlanta is the V.A.& a couple M&G. Got me a log home in the woods and haven't lost anything in the city.

Atlanta is a Detroit of the South. If it were not for sucking taxes off the airport and Coke, it would be even more broke than now.
Atlanta corruption rivals Detroit and NOLA.
I switch from LC9s to PT111 G2 and a spare mag any time I have to go ITP.
