Why do people feel it necessary to include "pre-ban" in their post ?

It just shows their ignorance of what they are selling. That, or they are counting on the ignorance of the buyer.
with the assault weapon ban gone not really but there are still a few that it would be acceptable on, one example would be the pre-ban polytechs which do command a premium. Another point i would think would be bushmaster as before the ban they were known as top notch rifles and afterwards they are just ok.
How often is 922r compliant checked? I thought it wss mostly for importers
The only advantage I can see is if someone is looking for a pre 1994 rifle or Mags ( i.e. pre 1994 Glock mags.) b/c they want to take it up north.
most adds I see are for pre-ban ar15's.
These items may have a higher value in other states, example CA, where the ban still is in effect and these items may be grandfathered in. Im not familiar with those particular state laws though
