Reloading for a Kahr CW45 with tight chamber

Did you use the barrel to plunk test free movement? That’s how I dial in a few to easy cycling. Next is just the powder testing to make it cycle reliable

That die would probably solve the problem. All my Kahrs would shoot factory ammo without a hitch, but didn't like the larger size that reloads always are. Wallacem

None of my reloads would pass the plunk test on either of my 9mm, 40, or 45 Kahr. The reloads worked flawlessly in every other brand gun I have. Wallacem

Hmm. I guess find someone with a case gauge they could lend you. Your chamber might be out of spec.

Yes, it sounds like you have an extra tight chamber. It should accept 180 gr ammo with no problem. Sounds like the bullet is sticking in the lands. Short throat. Wallacem
