The wood is actually white. The heavy grain darkened a lot. The reddish color is the wood without grain. Probably gonna order me a stock lol. I like the reddish color but it comes out inconsistent on the cherry to me.

Here are pics of the stock and forearm prior to fitting and finishing. Also a new spring I had to fit. Right now the stock and forearm have been sanded stained and have four coats of true oil sitting on them. Hopefully I can finish the breech block on Friday and test fire the rifle. Night shift has been hell this go around not I haven't accomplished as much as I have wanted to. Hopefully some pics to upload on Friday.
Also worth mentioning I guess is I have started rust bluing parts. I have ran into as issue with the receiver, during the rusting process all the carbon from the case hardening that did not sand out is coming up as corrosion and making the finish blotchy so I have to decide how I am going to move forward with it.
