Savage 12 FV for $419 possibly $319

Just a heads up Cabelas has the savage 12 FV on sale for $419 and savage has a 100 rebate looks like on model 12's till june. 4 calibers to choose from. I don't see that one listed on the rebate form. The ones I see under the $100 rebate column are $1500 rifles...

that why i said hopefully. the rebate form just says model 12 and it is a model 12 . even at 419 i will be happy. On savages site it doesnt specifically say 12 fv. the rebate form linked from cabela is kinda vague.

Looks to me like it says "buy any model 12 get $100 rebate". That's a steal on a very good rifle.A model 12 at Axis pricing? You won't find a more accurate, solid platform for the money.

Might call them and ask.
It looks like only the target model 12s built on the target actions are considered "qualifying rifles" Not the varmint model 12s built on the model 10/110 style actions.
The model 12s built on the 10/110 style actions are also stupid accurate.
I don't think anyone else is building a heavy barreled varmint rifle that will compete with a standard model 12 FV at the $400 price point.
