My form 1 should be back next month. This is my first build, so I'm looking for suggestions on what parts I should use on my SBR. All I have so far is a stripped Gen II Aero Precision lower. I would like a DD MK18 upper, but I'm open to any other suggestions. Thanks in advance for the recommendations!

DD is a fine upper... but there are plenty that can shoot just a nicely for much less money.

If your budget allows it... get what you want. If not... many recommendations can be made.

All I care about in an upper is the quality barrel... with a proper gas port size. A quality BCG. A rail that suits my needs.

Aside from that, I don't really care what roll mark is on it.

If you're planning on running it suppressed, build it for that purpose. Either use an adjustable gas block or if you want to keep your A1/2 front sight, get a BCG that will cut down on the gas when running suppressed, like the LMT Enhanced Carrier, Gemtech, or the Rubber City Armory. Or use the Innovative Arms WAR upper. Add a gas busting charging handle, and get a good a good trigger group.

If you don't plan to run it suppressed, just get yourself a decent upper, and don't worry so much about length because you can always add another upper of a different length.

Again.. all personal preference, but I leave the adj gas blocks to my "race" guns, since they have moving parts that could cause failure.

I'm more a fan of buffer adjustments on a defensive weapon.
