One hundred and forty posts and no one has mentioned that just the sound of a pump shotgun being racked will scare x number of bad guys away?

Wow, this article really makes the reasons a carbine is better clear. LOL!
I guess we could list reliability issues with both. What about short stroking? Has that been brought up yet?
Probably because you can put so many more rounds through them. More rounds fired = more malfunctions.I guess we could list reliability issues with both.
I think that might result in the shotguns favor unless we added semi auto shotguns to the mix. But ive had more chamber based issues with my ARs than my shotgun.

I don’t expect to use more than a mag when I edc but I carry one mag extra sometimes 2 depending on my location. I sometimes get gripe from my girl about carrying a knife and a gun but I’d rather be prepared then assume.True but i do not shoot either as much as my pistol and percentage wise Id say my pistol would probably win and I would still pick up the SG first. I'll take my chances that the first round will go boom and the second will chamber fine. I dont expect to have to use the second anyway.
