The new report just released shows that there is MORE untapped oil in the midwest of the US than in all of the middle east combined. I'm wondering hoiw long the government is going to keep playing these shadow games with tax payer money, mine and yours.

That story is several years old and not true, there is a thread somewhere in the trader with the link to snopes.com that debunks that story. We do have oil there but not even close to what that story reported.

Don't know if you are aware of it yet, but The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Emergancy Management Agency (FEMA) has put out an emergancy alert to all food manufactoring agencies to produce enough food to supply a 7 million person survival population at 14 million meals per day for a sustained period of at least 10 days to be supplied to FEMA's CONUS (continental US) distribution centers in the area of the New Madrid Fault System (Mississippi River Basin area of the US)... all Manufactoring Agencies must respond to the no later then February 3rd if they can meet the specifications of the request.

The following are two websites that document the requests... the second on is the DHS/FEMA Government website with the actual request and the details... pay special attention to the "purpose" that is included in the body of the discription.

Although the info in my last post is dated and no longer active,la the senario that 14 million meals a day for 2 weeks would be needed to deal with a serious quake in the New Madrid area is a scary proposition. If Katrina is any example of how we are going to deal with something like that then we are going to need to be very vigilant and protect our selves. Picture the event unfolding and the Federal response. All of it on a scale unheard of before.

It would be a good crisis to take advantage of to move an agenda.
