sig p220 vs springfield 1911 loaded poll

Why does the 1911 HAVE to be a Springfield?

the price is similar between the the two guns, i don't want to compare a colt fully equipped 1911 to a sig 220 becuase cost of the 1911 would be more thus becoming a consideration in choosing
