Well, my Power Commander came in today and my tuner(Huey at Marietta Motorsports, a fellow ODT'r) has a slot in his schedule tomorrow morning, so I am out.
Tossed the wife’s new street triple rs 765 on the dyno today. 117hp at the rear wheel, bone stock with only 330 miles on it. Triumph is vastly under reporting the power output, so as not to cripple sales of the bigger Speed Triple 1050.
My brand new Speed, is only making 3hp more than her new Street, and her bike weighs 70lbs less. It’s a little beast and I feel like I bought the wrong bike. They claim 121hp at the crank for hers. If that was true, her rear wheel output would be 12-15% under that.
Not 4hp less. Damned Britts sandbagged the 765 so that people would think there was a bigger performance gap between the two models...
Contemplating trading mine in for a new S1000R, which a simple ECU flash, will put 170hp to the ground,
