If you leave your gun in the car and nobody breaks in to find it, was it really in the car to begin with?

nobody likes to be told what to do....especially people like us. But, it's sound advice within reason. I think the op was trying to make a blanket statement that makes perfect sense assuming we're not going into a situation where being armed would cause problems. My guess is, he resisted listing off every single scenario that was mentioned over the last 28 pages. Had he listed all those scenarios, his opening post would've been about 28 pages long and none of us would've read it.

Maybe he was actually trying to say "Avoid keeping a firearm in plain view in your car. Keep it with you or hide it really well."
