That's why I registered as an LLC and not a Sole Proprietor. Big difference in the way you transfer firearms to yourself.
I don't come through Athens that much, but I would be happy to throw some money your way to help out. Any FFL is a thorn in the side of the anti's even if you have to follow all of "The Man's" rules.

I got a business license and a tax ID number. Now all I need is my state handgun permit and I'm good to go. Also emailed and faxed my info to almost 40 distributors and wholesalers today. Fingers crossed that a few will want to do business with a newbie to the game.

Awesome. I live in Athens and had been considering applying for a ffl. I already have business license. State wholesale license and tax exemption certs in place. My father and I dabble in online sporting goods drop shipped to our customers.

It takes longer than that for me to get a single tax stamp for a single rifle .... it doesn't seem like that long a wait to become a licensed firearms dealer.
