I recently started a new job and have been carrying daily. It was refreshing to hear that those who have keys can carry on their persons...I have a key!

Fear the "true believer" that Eric Hoffer described in the fifties that we must fear: Fear the true believers.

I read this book in the early 80's. It was part of an english class. Not an easy read, Had to look up at least 10 words per page in a dictionary. (if you wanted to understand what was really being said)

An essay on fanatics and fanaticism. But necessary to understand the mindset of the true believer. The individual who self identifies so closely with a cause that the loss of his life is insignificant if it is part of the greater good. Part of the glory of a infinite future.

Those who believe "all people are good at heart" fail to understand that evil, pure evil, walks the face of this earth and sometimes in the course of their normal everyday lives they are literally only an arms length away from it. Evil predators no nothing of reason, compassion, dignity.....
