The First Mass Produced AK9?

I have seen several reviews that are not good. Two of them had the firing pin fall out due to poor construction, one out of the box and the other at a range. They also don't seem to be able to dump a mag without issues. I saw they were on sale for less than $500, now I know why.

I owned one.. For 72 hours. You are correct about their construction (CUGIR). They are solid AK almost everywhere. However, the downfall is the chiappa part, the magwell adapter. It had a lot more movement than I could be comfortable with. To me this is like buying an project built , you can make it work but it's going to take some tinkering. Also the bolt is far too heavy and needs to be lightened for reliable operation.., and the channel for the firing pin retainer must be tapped . The retainer is then replaced by a set screw. Long story endless , by the time a figured how much/how long it would take to get her up and running I opted for the Cz scorpion and never looked back.
