Nicely done Brent1967.
No deer tonight but had a cool encounter with a great horned owl after shooting light was gone.
I saw something break the light against a nearby tree and watched a shadow get closer to a closer tree to me so I grabbed my red light and as soon as I turned it on I noticed this owl coming right towards me so I lifted my crossbow to block it and it turned at the last second.
Had about a 3.5' wingspan and total silent wing beats.
I love owls.

Tastes like victory!!! Lol the quarters and back straps from the doe are soaking in ice water till next weekend and were goin to have the smoker rolling and gettin fat an happy

Small 6 pointer laid down just out of bow range tonight.
He watched a mama and her fawns come in and they totally ignored him and walked right by.
I finally scared him off when I glassed him and made some noises to get a better look.
On the way out of the woods i went to check the mail and the streetlight revealed 8 does crossing the street.
They must have waited for me so they could thumb their tails at me.
