This is why you don't go cheap.

Some, but mostly it's just that I shoot a lot and experiment with different weapons. I'm very close to having all the niches filled with supremely accurate rifles and dealing with stuff like this is just part of the process.

Not saying it isn't frustrating as hell, though.

I also get very lucky sometimes. In the thread about the Cabela's deal on the Savage 12FV I just posted up how my new $220 rifle is consistently shooting 0.25 groups, so the luck goes both ways.

Wish I would've seen this. Wouldn't have been mad at a $220 .308 bolt rifle.
 
Those holes look drilled by a blind man.

Those front holes look like play dough . I’d call the manufacturer.
Look a little closer. The holes in the receiver are fine. It's the broken screws sticking up that make it look bad.

I looked at the pic again and the shadow of the screws does make it look like bad tapping.
 
The holes did look like they blew out or something, but I can see the screws now. But holy crap. What mount was it? or just a generic off brand?
