This year's gun bill...

Why don't you brush up on history? You will see that in almost every instance that arms are regulated to the point of confiscation that the government eventually committed genocide in one way or another. All the regulation does is make it easier and easier for confiscation. When confiscation takes place, citizens become slaves, not citizens. Far fetched? I don't think so.

Oh I know that much. Russia, China, Germany and several more countries have killed their people. But that was back when times are bad and it's where one person was in charge. How long has it been since the UK and Australia had a total ban? They haven't killed their citizens...yet.

As much as we all complain about restrictions, every single one of us has "bent over and grabbed our ankles" and submitted to obtain our carry license.

All this talk about the 2nd amendment being absolute and yet we all conform to the law and regulations. Where's the conviction in your beliefs? Why not stand up to the man and carry without a license?

Because having a criminal record sucks, and there is still the possibility of changing the law without having to make yourself a test case.

"Cause only those dope smoking felons would even think about such a thing !!!"

On a more serious level, because the people of the country have allowed the government to incrementally take rights away to the point where you even see some of the comments in this thread from people I bet claim to be all "pro-Constitution", while they are in fact just the absolute opposite. Pseudo moralists, that think only their version of "freedom", is acceptable.

It will continue with these type of folks, and leftist ideologues leading the charge. When you take rights in one area (left or right), it makes it all the easier to do it in every other area. It conditions the "masses".

Not all of us.
