To the owners of "unfired" firearms

Mine comes down to timing. Sometimes I cannot make it to the range for months at a time. I am extremely busy in both business and family life.
Depends on the gun for instance I have as collector grade M1 Garand from the CMP. It was only test fired by the manufacturer in 1954.
Firing that gun will instantly decrease the value.
Ive got some ive owned for years now that i havent shot yet. Got too many toys to use em all. I keep wanting more too.
I love to shoot, but have 4 kids and they take most of my time up.

Why buy if your not willing to shoot it--on ocassion I have bought/traded and not had time to go shoot it--but now days I think some people are in fear of replacing their ammo--either finding it or giving the ridiculious inflated, price gouging amount the market is bringing.
What's so hard to understand about loving firearms? Yea, I'd love to shoot more often than I do now, but shot or not I still own it and can shoot it when I get one of those "roundtuits".

My Uncle loved firearms and ran a his own shop till his death, but shooting them held little interest for him. He just loved being surrounded by them.

Everyone obviously has their own opinion. I have more gun in my collection that I have not fired than I have shot. Some I will eventually take out of the safe and shoot. I also have a few that I will likely never shoot.
LOL i think its more of a fear of not being able to resupply the ammo afterwards,i have a bushmaster that has 0 rounds thru her and trust me it is very hard not to send rounds down range.
