I don't mind payin a "little" extra either...but... lets just say there "is" a car on here.. The owner is asking almost $4k edmunds and KBB both say in excellent cond car is worth $2k max.. I think they are just fishing for an uninformed buyer..KBB is a guide. NADA is what dealers use. Prices vary based on region but, condition, appeal, and popularity also have a lot to do with price. I don't mind paying a little more when the car was maintained well. The most important thing I've learned over the years is don't be emotional about the purchase. Do your homework and be ready when a good deal comes along.
actually thanks to cash for clunkers a couple years back the used car market it all kinds of messed up. I have been on car lots in the past year and seen used cars selling for more than the same car new. The used car market is all kinds of jacked up right now and will probably take a few years to stabilize. KBB doesn't mean much of anything right now.
