Where you plan on driving to? I personally will avoid the roads if anything like that were to happen. Hopefully you have what you may need at home for the long haul.

I seriously doubt there is going to be any pulse that would wipe the amount of electronics and all out around the world that people are imagining would happen in a science fiction environment. This would be major league and would take something almost unheard of strength wise or even concerted together to do the type of damamge folks are dreaming up.

If you need room to put stuff or sleep, how about an '75 and later Econoline? Lot's in common with the F-100/F-150s.
Or even older Econoline truck? They share the unibody and power train with the Falcon, so a 170 inline 6.
