Weirdest things people have found in the woods

I haven't gone to look, but out here, there's property with live ordnance still buried. Has been found on Marion Rd Gun Club property as well.

My Dad is retired Army Explosives Ordnance Disposal (EOD). The Army still cleans up a lot of sites that have abandoned ordnance. Every year kids get blown up messing with the stuff. If you seriously have old stuff laying around, please let someone in law enforcement know so they can call the pros out.

i was walking through the woods of my old property in cartersville off highway 20 ( dean road ) and i tripped over some pine straw that had three guns covered... rifle/ handgun/shotgun... all working

Back in college one of the jobs I had was to walk Berry College property to put up the wildlife sanctuary signs. Entering the woods at hwy 27 and old Dalton rd (7 or 8 years prior to Mt Berry Mall) and working my way parallel to old Dalton I came across 10 to 15 purses, walked across the road to a convenience store and called the police, they showed and said they had a lot of reports of purse snatching and car break-ins in the area. A while later, with some houses between myself and the road with really thick vegetation to the extent I couldn't see the houses, I got a spooky feeling like I was being watched. I was preparing to place and attach a sign, I stopped and checked the area, couldn't see the houses, saw no animals or anything. I took a few more minutes and attached the sign and still had the odd feeling, never did see anything or anybody to give me the feeling. 7 or 8 years later when work began on the mall a newspaper article stated three unmarked graves were found. after a few years the consensus was the graves were prisoners from a chain-gang camp back in the 20's or 30's. After a little investigation I found out the graves were about 100 yards from where I got the spooks.

Why is the flag backwards on military uniforms? Ive always woundered that but never could find out why.

ive found cars where they shouldnt have been. my buddy stan routinely find pornography in the woods around Emory/sage hill area.....so i think he has me beat

In the 1950's some folks found a cannon ball near Westview Cemetery, and took it home, they put it in a fire place to burn the rust and crud off it. It went off and killed one, this happened about 3 doors down from a friend of mine. I've found Minnie balls in my back field. GA is full of ordinance ..Just be careful with cannon balls ..
