I see posts about prices of things back then, but no one mentions what the wages were. $400 in 1979 is like $1600 today and minimum wage was $2.90.

I wasn't even old enough to buy the gun at that point. I just wish that I asked for a few more over the next couple of years in different calibers. My dad didn't mind buying guns that was the one thing I could count on for Christmas.
