What do you prefer to carry in Summer? Snub Nose Revolver or Sub Compact Semi?

No love for the shield?

Try carrying both and see which is preferred.

IMO, a polymer frame 9mm subcompact has many advantages over a revolver.
- Lighter (polymer is lighter than aluminum)
- Higher capacity (8 v. 5 is almost double)
- Slimmer
- Durability (less stuff that can oxidize)
- More ammo choices available
- Better aftermarket support

I guess the main advantage that a revolver has is that if it doesn't go bang the first time, just pull the trigger again. I believe that this can be addressed properly by using high quality ammunition, occasional maintenance, and making sure your ammo is fresh from time to time.

I wear my LCR 38sp a lot. If i'm going super lightweight and not going into the hood I'll throw my baby browning in my pocket with a Desaints pocket holster.

I carried the SW 642 for a decade before eventually switching to subcompact semi autos. I now carry either the Kahr PM9 or PM45. I have also tried the 9mm Shield and Kel tek pf9. Kahr is my favorite so far. But to be honest, all of the above were comfortable to carry, including the snubbie.
