Which would you rather have and why?

I'm sorry... Still can't justify spending 600-1200 for a gun that is somewhat butt ugly, feels cheap in my hands, and has a pistol grip that feels like it was an after thought... No arguing it works well but I don't drive a butt ugly car every day because it works well either... Life's short you have to buy what is appealing to you... I know if I bought one just on looks and feel alone I wouldn't shoot it much so it would be a waste for me.

IMO Glocks, rugged solid simple, looks great, feels great in my hand, feels of good quality, shoots fantastic, win win I own a glock, sure I own others that may be a bit more refined but a Glock is a must have and as american as it gets!

Everyone has their own opinions and has to decide on what they purchase that's all I'm saying... I keep looking at AK's because I know they're a good rifle but every time I pick one up I just can't bring myself to like it or buy one.

Dang, the Century C39 V2 Magpul Edition looks very interesting. Gun show next weekend see if I can find one to fondle... Like the furniture and the milled receiver on it as well as the simple flash hider, looks pretty decent... I'll give it another go and have another look....

Compare
  1. weight of respective rifles
  2. initial cost of said rifles and how they hold/lose value
  3. cost of magazines
  4. accuracy
  5. ease of mounting optics
  6. Ease of maintenance
Ak wins in most of the catagories, You could always consider an sks or vz58 to fulfill your 7.62 cravings
