I always carry in the woods. Here in the peoples republic of NY you can not carry a handgun during archery season. Few yrs back I had a big sow black bear and 4 cubs come in. One of them decided to come up ladder in my stand. I wasn’t to worried about a 100lb cub but if mom had saw me as a threat I’d sure like to of had more than a bow in my hand. I shued the cub away and they all ran off. Mom never knew I was there.

I also spend a lot of time on my tractor, so I bought a chest rig for my Para Ordnance P14. I put it on whenever I leave the house.
I don’t go into the woods period without a firearm! There’s bears and mountain lions around here. Even when I go hiking at state and national parks I carry. The woods aren’t safe for humans. Just like democrat run cities aren’t safe.
Always OWB carry a pistol when hunting. You just never know what you'll run into so more guns is better.
