Who do you recommend to thread a barrel?

Granted, I've only paid to have two bolt guns threaded, but both were done by Dobbs Defense and I'm extremely pleased with the work they did. I'll make the drive from Macon to Dallas if I need anything else done. Like a Beretta 92...

Third for Dobbs Defense. He's threaded five barrels for me and all of them have been exemplary...and punctilious.

I wounder if its reasonable to cut down a 16' barrel to 10.5' or 12' and make a pistol AR15 upper... Or will I run into problems doing that? It seems like I can never find a pistol upper when I have the money. But can allways find a 16' upper.
