If I’m zeroing a rifle, or confirming zero, I’m going to shoot a 3-5 shot group, then adjust from the center of that group. Think of it as using an average.

If that group is a good one, I’m saving it. Who cares if it’s .5MOA low? 2 clicks of elevation, shots to confirm the change, and we’re in the center and in business.
