Why????????

Simply put, If these guns didn't have the name Springfield Armory on them, same with the rest of their guns, they would likely never have made it in the market. Lots of people love them and are they bad, no, but if these same exact guns said Taurus on them, they would be made fun of and ridiculed by most. They are nothing special but are overrated because of a marketing campaign that makes people believe they are something they are not.

Have you held and shot one? Not everybody looks for the same fit and feel, but I love mine. The XDM is a fun gun to shoot. The XDS is different, but I like it, especially as a carry. It's a nice small package for a .45 and it shoots well. If you're a Glock fanboy or must carry a 1911, you keep your mouth shut and move along.

Many people are flipping them right now because of the high demand.

Personally I love mine. Took it to the range yesterday and completely fell for it. The recoil is sufficient to let you know you have a 45 in your hand but not so much that its uncomfortable. My didn't like it but she's only familiar with her 9.

I love the one I have. I don't understand how anyone thinks the recoil is bad. I fired some Federal FMJs through mine that were loaded a little hot and it still wasn't that bad. I thought the recoil would be a lot worse than what it was. I was fairly surprised with the accuracy, I was able to easily hit soda cans at 25 yds. It does seem to pretty heavy for it's size though.

shot an XD-s this weekend and it was a neat little gun. Recoil is nothing on this gun and was very easy to manage. The XD-s was reliable and dead nuts accurate, no complaints here.

In last month's issue of Shooting Times Magazine, Bart Skelton, their handgun editor, did an excellent review of the XDs. It's a good read and has a lot of good information about the gun. Bart stated that for a .45 ACP, the little gun did not have a bad recoil. He described it as a well made pistol and liked it's handling qualities I have a lot of respect for Bart's opinion. If I was in the market for another concealed carry pistol, I just might go for the XDs. My current personal carry gun is a Smith and Wesson M&P .40 Shield, with an Apex Hard Sear and Trijicon Night Sights.

I had an XDM .40 that I liked a lot. I shot the heck out of it and never had a single functional failure. It was accurate, had a nice trigger and handled well. I liked it and trusted it enough, that I gave it to my son as a self/home defense pistol. If it's good enough to protect my grand daughters, it's good enough!!

My shooting buddy has an XDS. Never shot it but it feels great in the hand. That said I will hold out for a .40 shield. I like the MP grip better. IF my unicorn ever shows up then all bets are off! (SIG P224 DA/SA FTW)
