Why????????

I loved mine I just traded out of yesterday, that little thing shot AWESOME with 185gr rounds I was consistently hitting coke cans at 25-30+ yards. ONLY 2 reasons I traded out of it.
1) I sadly only have ONE handgun at the moment and no funds for an extra one, and the recoil was to much for my fiancée (she was scared of the recoil and in turn was limp wristing it causing constant FTE, stove pipe etc) so I NEEDED something she could comfortably shoot should the need arise)
2) I have a huge stockpile of spare Glock parts/holsters etc form having so many over the years so I went back to 9mm and glock. (Got me a Gen4 G19).

Loved the XDS and and might get another one when funds allow.

i had a xd40 sub compact and i hated it. worst gun i ever had i would never buy another
I've shot a wide range of 40 caliber pistols and found the round to be snappy. What I found to be a good shooting 40 was a SIG 229. I guess because the way the pistol is weighted.

I love mine! Alot of the early batches had problems...but I've shot 200 rounds outa mine and it's been flawless! Love it!!
x2 and mine has seen more than 200 rounds. several people have borrowed it and put it through some serious round counts. its never hiccupped on anything. they are awesome little carry guns. anyone who says they are snappy is REALLY sensative. my wife is dumping her 38 spl for one and shes a little thing. i will definitely own it in 9mm when it comes out.

OP- i think a lot of them you see are just getting flipped. they are $525 when they are quite frequently available at academy. its just like the host of unfired Glocks born in the last month for $200 over blue label pricing. people dont really get guns and sell them in a week unfired way over retail over and over due to impulse buying.

x2...I had a buddy get one a few months back and the first time I held it fell in love. Just got one this past weekend and put 100 rounds thru her yesterday and have no plan of letting her go anytime soon. Awesome little gun. But yeah, my two LGS get them in every now and then for $510 plus tax and it's funny to get on here and see the guns going for $650+ from people who live in the same city as I do the very same night.

Just because no one has said it does not mean they are not thinking it. And no one ever accuses Glock of being a half rate importer selling half rate guns. Except maybe Sig junkies.:D If folks don't like the fact that the guns are manufactured elsewhere, that's cool. I just get really tired of hearing about how they are junk, when that is clearly bull****. Actually, I get really tired of hearing how any gun but a Glock is crap. Actually, I get really tired of hearing about how Glocks are crap. All of the "your gun sucks" BS is just really tiresome.

Have you held and shot one? Not everybody looks for the same fit and feel, but I love mine. The XDM is a fun gun to shoot. The XDS is different, but I like it, especially as a carry. It's a nice small package for a .45 and it shoots well. If you're a Glock fanboy or must carry a 1911, you keep your mouth shut and move along.

Many people are flipping them right now because of the high demand.

LOL. I've owned an XDm 9 and a XD 45. I gave them a shot. They were reliable. I did not like them over all. My point was it is all in the marketing. There are better pistols that are not as popular. It is all because they say Springfield Armory on them. Period. Now you move along. BTW I do drink the Glock Koolaid, and it is damn delicious, it quenches my thirst EVERY time without fail, and I won't take a $150 beating on it if I have to sell it.

I have one that has taken the place of my Kahr CM9 for everything except pocket carry. Won't get rid of it anytime soon.

I've done the same thing, replaced my Kahr CM9 for a XDm 9mm 3.8 Compact that I use for conceal carry and for IDPA.
I also have an BiTone XD40 Compact, I love shooting both. They have over 1K rounds through them both and never had a single issue.. Eats any ammo all day long!
