Being US military issue Remington .45acp, I kinda doubt it. Didn't say so on the box.
US military .45ACP ammo was corrosive up until July, 1954. Your ammo could easily be corrosively primed.

Good point, thanks for the solid info. I checked the headstamps (RA61) and did some digging around, and apparantly this stuff was made in 1961 (so I should still have some rifling in the bore ).
