Mine was 55 years this past May 27th.
They lined up all the draftees and had them count off 1 through 4. After completion, the man said, "Congratulations, all you number 4s are now in the Marine Corps."
This was at the old Sears store on Ponce De Leon avenue in ATL they turned into an induction center. It was across from where the old ATL Crackers ball field used to be.

Now I feel really old, sworn in March 3, 1970 so that's about 53 years and change ago. I need more Geritol.
Will be 41 years ago for me in December.
My 40th was back in March. I think I'll get hammered tonight since I missed it in March.
42 years ago, this past September 9th, I was at the Atlanta MEPS bright and early. Spent the previous night tossing back drinks with friends at Modines and Spondivits off Virginia Ave. Time flies.
