Yes he is in federal prison doing 10 years for corruption, 20 counts bribery, wire fraud, tax evasion, others, so I guess disarming honest citizens at the very moment they needed their arms the most can be included. Since when does Louisiana have firearms registration?

They don't. The cops that confiscated guns went about it by discovery (asking questions), during safety checks on people who did not evacuate. From the videos I saw it looked like cops and military going door to door and making entry without a warrant. This is one reason I believe bills of sale are a stupid idea. Finding a stack of BOS forms with names and addresses or DL numbers on them durring a search would be gold mine. Just go to the addresses and round up the guns.

Finally found it! I was back in Birmingham this weekend and an idiot behind the counter had ZERO knowledge of this form. He was trying to get my dad to buy two handguns and I brought up the form but didn't remember the number. He said there wasn't such a form because he has done several multi sales in the past without it.
