Depending on who you believe, the Receiver Thickness of the MAK-90 is either 1.5 mm or 1.6 mm--And as everyone mentions, the MAK-90's Barrel & Chamber are Chrome-lined and the Gas Piston is Chrome-plated--Even if you NEVER Fire Corrosive Ammo, IMHO, the Chromed components "Clean Up" easier--There must be a REASON the MAK-90 is leading about 2 to 1 in the Poll--Just sayin'... ....mikey357

I'm going to get the barrel cut so I can add a surefire break pinned. It will have a surefire suppressor mounted. The grenade launcher is made for over gassed rounds. So I'm hoping the m70ab2 will hold up to over gassed suppressed fire.

So is RPK trunnion and 1.6mm receiver, unless he is going to fire grenades. I think you have hit the nail on the head, WASR for a truck gun is just like a sore pecker.......hard to beat.
