I'll take my A2 with a reasonable amount of ammo, and I doubt that finding full mags to scavenge will be all that hard. I'm pretty sure I will probably find more weapons to choose from soon after the SHTF.

And, of course, my OKC Raider Bowie.

My 14.5 inch 6.8 spc II and one of my 1911's. Either the Longslide hunter in 10mm or the 5 inch S&W .45. Maximum punch from both guns.

If its mechanical then it can break. Kinda hard to pick off 10 people bum rushing your house with a bolt action and a revolver but like you said... your choice. When the SHTF in clayton county you better have something that can throw the lead downrange.

I have two kids and a wife so there are extra guns in the mix. Both kids would have there 5.56 carbines and my the wife would have the only gun she work the slide on. My good old trusty SR22 He He.

G22 with the threaded 9mm Conversion barrel. Gives me 2 calibers in one. Can even use 40 cal mags in a pich
Arsenal AK folder with the POSP sight. Love my PTR, but Arsenal is more compact. If I am not moving, then PTR with 3x9x40 Nikon.
And GA Optimus for both. Glock is just about completely noiseless with 147gr ammo. Bonded 147 Ranger+ in the Glock. 124gr Golden Tiger in AK.

Romanian origin. Uses 7.62x54R (same as Mosin). Semi-auto designated marksman style rifle. 10 rnd mag. Hard-hitting, but quick to get hot when shooting quickly.
