10/22 Porn

I have been in and out of the Takedown models 2-3 times but recently picked up this Brownells build so I am back in again.
Mounted a Nikon with DNZ mount I had hanging around. Hope to try her out this weekend.

Update: Only After I mounted the scope did I realize I could not rotate and remove the barrel assembly without removing the rear sight. Tap, tap, tap.

Well, the hammer and punch ARE the universal tool of a gun owner!

Just want to remind everyone here that today is.....

Happy Ruger Day!

My latest project for your viewing pleasure. An AK1022. Stock is a MBW out of Poland. Sporting a ''SEE ALL'' delta, tritium, open sight. Love it. Fast on target and glows in the dark.
Need a fake suppressor or longer flash hider for it next. This will be go bag.
Ya like it don't ya?
Gotta have it, don't ya?
Ain't fur sail!

What a gawd awful ugly piece of crap this is. Totally useless!

How much did you want for it again?

That appears to be a Kidd 6" barrel. Have you had any trouble with it feeding/chambering/extracting? I have two and they both give me fits sometimes.
Are you certain the barrel is clocked correctly? Also, have you cleaned the chamber thoroughly? A carbon ring can cause all or sorts of feeding and extraction issues.

If you are using cheap ammo, Golden Bullets, WWB, etc, I wouldn't expect reliable feeding. Kidds have a tighter, match chamber.

Been through it a million time, actually. Even sent it back to Kidd. Still giving me fits. Nothing but top notch ammo, either. Frustrating. All of my other "units" run to perfection with custom McGowan barrels, Kidd barrels, Theoben barrels, VQ barrels, etc. Just these 6" Kidd barrels.

Oh, and the chamber is clean, too. It won't shoot enough to get it dirty.
