Heyo, I just felt like showing off and bragging about my purchase. I bought it about 4 days ago for a grand total of $280 the guy REALLY needed to get rid of it! It doesn't quite run yet, as there seems to be something wrong with the fuel line, but I've replaced the in-line pump and filter, and will be doing the same to the in-tank pump/filter, so hopefully it'll run before too long.

go ahead and spray some starter fluid and turn it over
that way you will know if you have spark, timing,
compression and a free exhaust before you go
any further

Yeah, I know it's got spark. It ignites with starting fluid, but then dies as soon as the fluid is gone. I'm thinking it's not got a high enough fuel pressure, but I don't have a reader to test it.

Some of these models had an inertia switch, activated by a crash, that shut fuel pump down. My 95 F150 does not, but I seem to recall that my father's old 89 Ranger did. Might be worth some Google time.
