2001 Toyota 4 runner 4X4 auto trans help

The Trans blew apart and it is electronic not cable. Pulled it down and overdrive planet blew up, trans is toast. I need suggestions from anyone that can put me on one to purchase. I had a company out of New Jersey that had a low mileage one or they claimed they did. Was told it was one of the used unit, imported from Japan. Believe the company is just a Scam, and I have been lied to many times by this company. Any help would be great! Please PM any help thanks Oh it is a V6

I have no idea it is at my friends shop. He did tell me it was the electronic not the cable trans

LKQ for sure, but they are a tad pricey. Most junkyards can let you know who has one and where they are if they dont have one.

Tried to have one up here put it on a locator..He wanted to sell me one of his, I did not like dealing with him

I have limited experience.
See if it is a older design motor/trans/bodystyle.
See what all trans will bolt up or be adapted.
Check your electronics to see if they are good and what model trans fit or could be adapted.
I would think that would narrow down the options.
