22 rifle host

I have an old mossberg 140k that I'm contemplating threading. My other thought is selling it and just buying a new factory threaded bolt gun. The mossberg shoots nice but I'm thinking for the cost of threading I am better off selling and buying a new gun.
Thoughts or recommendations?

Since you're new here I'll let this one slide but there are many threads on this subject. 95% of the replies will recommend the Savage FV-SR.

Yes, many threads on suggested hosts. I guess my question differs in trying to decide to thread an old gun I already have vs. buying new. Any pros to keeping and threading the mossberg? If not, then I know to sell and pick from the many suggested hosts.

Average tread job would run from 85 to 100 bucks so I guess the question is are you attached to your current gun or would you rather have a new one

I thought of your FV-SR as soon as I saw the title of this thread. LOL

If you truly love the Mossy, have the sight moved back and the barrel threaded.

Savage FVSR and 10/22 are my favorite host(savage is stupid quite)
I would also look at the Ruger American if you decide to go the new route

I have no attachment to the Mossberg. I think I'll go FVSR.
