Hey Gang! Hope to start reloading 6.8 in the next month and thought I'd check and see what others have had success with to get some ideas of where to start. I'm shooting an 18" AR upper and will be loading for Whitetail. Any info you would be willing to share would be much appreciated.

I've had a 6.8 for several years now. Many of the folks where I work own them too, so I get to shoot several of them.

Some like the Barnes bullets in the 85 grain range for the extra velocity and range they offer while being tough enough to be a reliable deer round.

I ain't one those folks myself. I've found the 110 grain Sierra Pro Hunter to be outstanding in the 6.8 SPC.

I've tried 4198, H322, & H335. The H322 is by far my powder of choice. It meters well, delivers excellent velocity, and most importantly outstanding accuracy.

I've had excellent service from both Remington and Silver State Armory brass.

The 6.8 is an easy to load for caliber and very efficient from shorter barrels.

I load Barnes TTSX 110gr. Outstanding accuracy. I use AA2230. It meters very well and gives me excellent results. I have shot 6 deer in the last 2 seasons using the Barnes TTSX bullets out of 2 different 6.8 AR's. Great results and great stopping power.

Im running 110 vmax with H322 for coyotes and 130 grain speer hot core flat base for hogs. Been shooting the 130 in front of H335. Getting 2410fps out of my 16in Ambush Firearms rifle. They shoot same point of impact as the 110 at 100 yards. They are deadly on everything Ive shot with them. If you need more info let me know.

I have a Stag arms spec 2 chamber with 1 in 11 twist
Sierra pro hunter 110 grain with imr 4198 work best for me.
H322 was good h335 was bad.
Nosler accubond 110 looks good cost a lot did not shoot good in my gun.

Good info. Just finished a 6.8 build, good to have a starting point. 2013-03-01_17-23-25_461.jpg
