Adventure Outdoors BOGO on 1911's: FAIL

The only defective gun I've ever bought came from there and they wouldn't do anything to correct the situation. Thank God s&w has good customer service. I was close and stopped in to check it out and my wife liked a revolver that was on sale. 3 hrs back and d fourth the next day to either ttrade it in our get the Smith to fix it and no one would help. Last dollar I'll ever spend there.

Same thing happened to me....They escorted me out after I asked for a replacement...kinda ghetto over there anyhow!

That's not their corporate policy. You got shafted.

i don't know their policy. but they did ask me very nicely after a manager pulled me aside. i figured they were so nice about it, i didn't give them any stink. plus the girl behind the gun counter was extremely cute and i wanted to stay and talk to her

I was there for three hours yesterday just browsing, I have bought a few guns there and never had a problem. And those of you saying you can't get help, I don't know what to say, every time I have been in there literally almost every worker asked if I needed help, almost got annoying but I know they were doing their job.

On the Sig deal as of yesterday from 9:00 to 12:00 when I was there I saw four people get that deal, they were letting you do it with any sig not just 1911's I saw a guy buy a 226 and he got it, another guy got the 938? (The little 9mm 238) and he got it as well.
Heck when I was back in the S&W section they let me take my old model 60 out of my pocket and compare it to the newer one that shoots .357 as well, and had no problems, hell it was loaded.

I'm not saying people are lying about their problems, I believe you I really do, I just have never experienced them there myself.

Oh they got in 30 of the Glock 42's while I was there and they were priced at 399$ each. Interesting little pistol.

That my by why when the main guy that started this thread came in they had stopped it. Maybe they were only supposed to do it with 1911's and had given away guns to the wrong people?

I wouldn't go there even if they were the only ones doing the deal. They are just too many complaints on them from too many people and that's not even counting the fact that I've known of them for almost my entire life and the (former?) owner is a "nozzle". If he doesn't own/operate it anymore, I am sure he gave them lessons on how NOT to keep the customer satisfied. (Credit to Geaux for the term nozzle, lol)
