AK GURU'S-AK47 / AK 74 Hammer and Trigger Pin Retainer Plate- UPGRADE?

on a reassembly I was surprised to she's paper clip TYPE spring in a AK47 (M70AB2). The 1st one I had taken down and saw there was a "plate" for a few bucks that could replace it. I purchased one but have yet to put it in?
any real positives or negatives on this plate? this is a link to one, however not the one I purchased (cnc as opposed to stamped).

Not worried pondering why doesn't everyone do this... I can't mechanically and reengineering see any flaws.. I thought maybe there was a negative.

I would guess most AK enthusiasts do this modification on rifles they use on a regular basis.
