America does not have operational control of the border/ AZ desert/ TREASON.

The people that matter (SCOTUS) did. That is the point.

Because I'm feeling charitable today, I'll do your homework:

United States v. Wong Kim Ark

Sorry but that is not how it works. SCOTUS gets to determine if something is Constitutional or not. They don't get to institute law or change law to mean something else as they have Unconstitutionally done in 2 Obamacare rulings for example.

The 14th is clear and does not mean because you drop a baby here it is automatically a citizen. And as was pointed out, it's Congresses responsibility to make laws on immigration - per our Constitution.

That is exactly what the 14th Amendment says. The SCOTUS has ruled on US laws regarding immigration guided by what the amendment SAYS not what YOU wish it says.

You guys are missing the point. The problem isn't the "anchor babies" which are a tiny sub-percentage of the "people" that come here illegally and would be covered by the 14th, the problem is immigrants are economically incentivized to come here and we don't enforce the current, perfectly constitutional laws that are on the books right now and we have an POTUS who is actively circumventing it by executive order.

Only nations in decline build walls to hide behind.

The US is a nation of immigrants, our growth has always been fueled by immigration and expansionism.

We are now tapped out geographically, economically, and morally.

So now we are going (late) Roman. Building walls and being subverted from within by minority cultures, while the barbarians on the frontier get bolder and stronger.
No we are a Nation of LEGAL Immigrants. There is a Difference. Have there always been Illegals yes, but not to the Degree it's happening now.
