Any reason to not use kia finance to get $750 discount

Take the manufacturer financing to get the rebates and/or incentives then payoff if you have the cash or refinance with your lender after 3 payments. Be sure there is no prepayment penalty in the contract. Have been told the dealerships get financial incentives (kickback) after 90 days is why they want you to make 3 payments.
The first payments are almost all principal...i.e. profit for the dealership with a gratuity for the salesman who suckered you into it. Pay it off as soon as you get home

note: changed word from interest to principal

Almost 2 million engines in Hyundais and Kias replaced...now they are blowing head gaskets due to head bolts being too short. Korean electronics are great...mechanically speaking Korean stuff not so good.
When Hyundai first got here around 86ish they were $7k new cars. Not great but better than a Yugo. They made some progress in the early to mid 90s. I bought a trade in 95 Hyundai Scoupe from Macon Mitsubishi when I worked there in 05 for $355.00. Side note here they initially TRIED to charge me a damn doc fee . I told them there was no way in hell I was paying an extra $500.00 for a $355.00 car
Anyway the Scoupe was basically just a coupe version of the hatchback Excel. Those cars did fairly well when maintained mainly because they were so basic. I still dig those cars but try to find one now. But I guess the same could be said for Grand Ams, Cavaliers, Escorts etc.
I guess the point here is if you're buying into a cheaper brand keep it basic as possible. When I was at the port of Brunswick I processed every model of Kia, Hyundai and yes Genesis. I know there's a seat for every ass but WHY in the hell would you pay premium prices for a Genesis knowing it's a rebadged Hyundai? I saw Stingers with protective plastic all over them that already had issues. And the Stinger is NOT cheap at least as Kias go. If you're buying a Kia buy a used Rio with a stick shift. If you're going cheap the make sure you keep it cheap and basic. It won't break if it never had it. That's why you shift your own gears.

OP, you would pay $221 in total interest for the first 3 months to get the $750 financing discount from the manufacturer.

20k @ 4.5% for 48 months

I will not own another Kia or Hyundai.
Should I post pics of our Soul with big spots on the hood and roof where the paint just gave up? I don't know how to post the audio noise of the horrible grinding coming from the front wheel bearings that have been replaced TWICE in the last three years. Not to mention the valve by the gas filler neck that throws a check engine light and you have to leave it running when getting gas. Or maybe the crank sensor that went out when we lived in Darien and had to be ordered since Kia dealers don't have actual parts departments. Or all the coil packs this thing has killed since the first month we owned it.
Etc and so forth...

just picked up a 24 Mazda 3 sedan! 25k and it has all the features i want/need....cant go wrong with Mazda in my experience...zoom zoom
I knew a family ( one of our good friends) that only bought Mazda. They keep those cars forever. I bought my wife a 2009 Mazda CX 7 touring model with a turbo 4 banger. It came when more HP than 87 Mustang GT. It was a great car. It never needed a thing but a battery. When it finally went at 300 and some odd miles she bought a CX8. It's a really nice vehicle. Nothing but good reports from me. 👍👍👍👍

We had two different Kias that both had engine failures. One they wouldn’t cover under warranty. Never again for me.

Now we did have a 2008 that was one of the best cars we have ever owned that we sold with 212k miles and was still great. Once they went to direct injection apparently everything changed.

If you have good credit you can get a good rate at the bank then I can't stress enough on buying a used vehicle. I bought my wife's Mazda CX7 used with 22,000 miles on it and saved a fortune. I knew it was a trade in because of the stock numbers they always use an letter at the front of the stock number to indicated it's a trade in. Come to find out the couple that bought the vehicle new came in and traded it in on a bigger Mazda CX so that gave me some good vibes about that used vehicle. Try to find a couple year old car that's got low miles on it. You can end up getting a lot better car and save money in the long run. Always run a car fax and try to buy from a individual if possible. Or if you buy from a dealer get approved with your banking institution or credit union first. A lot of times the dealers bank will allow you a reduced rate ( sub prime ) just to get your business if you have bullets for a credit score. The finance manager at the dealer can negotiate a better rate than you can obtain on your own sometimes. I never purchased new cars. Let someone else take the hit on depreciation. IMHO
