Could I conceivably use my old JC higgins Model 20 12 GA for skeet or trap? Has a Medium Choke in the power pac compensator?

Any recommendations on a O/U shotgun for Skeet or Trap?

I dont see why not, Just take it out a couple of times and see how you like it.
She has that worn look but works great.
You definitely could, but I think that you will find that pumping the shotgun will lose you some time and placement to get on the next target. I've seen people do it and do pretty good at it though. Concentration and speed help a lot when getting on target to shoot it before it gets to far out. The further out the more likely you are to miss. But distance will also have a lot to do with what size shot you are using.
If I am just shooting singles it would be fine. The action is very slick and I could reload fast. Sight line could be a problem. Just have to try it on a double
What ammo do you all use?
1 1/8 oz at 1150fps. #8 or 9 dor skeet or 7.5 trap. I was serious about come get one until, btw.
