Personally think that breed is a terrible abomination, but that's just my opinion. A weimaraner would be a better option that fits you criteria, I think. I think mine is broken though, she hates the water and always has, despite having webbed feet. But very loving, great with kids of all ages, very intelligent, doesn't bother my gf's cats, does shed, but not real noticeable, loves to be touching a person. Mine is completely spoiled though and will not lay on a bare floor and prefers to be on a pillow or blanket on the couch. Also, short haired so doesn't need to be groomed or brushed all the time. I'm not 100% sure, but I think are a lot less prone to major health issues than anything with golden retriever in the bloodline.

Just to throw a different option out there.
