Anyone else get their property tax statement today?

My taxes and insurance is up about $450 this year. I’m 100% going to appeal it!!

I'm going to try them as it's not something I'm going to do myself.

It's pretty easy, I've done it. If successful, you're locked in for 3 years with no increase.

I had a letter from a company called ownwell. Claim they'll process an appeal end to end without cost. You pay 25% of any bill reduction as their fee.

Tempted, but can't figure out if there's a catch, need to google them.

Edit, googled and seems to be legit. I'm going to try them as it's not something I'm going to do myself.

I looked them up, but not in my county.
After a hard hit last year, I may use my legal insurance this year.

I’m going to look at mine soon and appeal if possible. Real estate agent 18 years. Sale prices go up, tax seems to go WAY up!

Appeal it! I’m appealing mine. Paid $180,000 seven years ago, Floyd county says my house and land is now worth $463,000…..yeah, NO! I plan to appeal AND offer to sell it on the spot to the county for $463,000.

I started filling out mine today. Theyre not going to like my realistic valuation though.

That's what I get for keeping the grass cut and the bushes trimmed.

My home value went up $190k from 2020-2023. Thats just $22k short of what I paid for it. It aint just the millage rate.

The county has completely gone to **** and crime rates have quadrupled and somehow that makes your home more valuable? They should be paying the decent folks to stay here.
