Mine is a 2012 Yukon Denali 1500 XL. Complete pain in the ass. So far the front tires are off and have to remove the wheel well covers. Lots of videos on YOUTUBE about the driver side removal. Gee I wonder why? Could be that the passenger takes so long you run out of video time on YOUTUBE.
Passenger side"
Tire off
Wheel well cover off
Starter removed and hanging out of the way
Jack with a piece of wood to lift the engine up so you can get to all 4 bolts mounting it to the block.
Had to also remove:
Battery removed
Oil dipstick tube removed
Sensors removed
Engine jacked as high as it will go without doing damage to things on top
Still had to disassemble the motor mount by removing two 15mm bolts that hold the aluminum heat shield to the mount. Once separated into its pieces you can then removed the pieces.
What a bitch!
Another middle finger and a big **** you to GMC engineers that made these engine mounts with oil filled rubber instead of solid old school rubber ones.
