AR Sling question...

I am pretty sure I have a couple of loose HK hooks from my HK parts hamper... Never have really been a fan of Mash hooks... but they do work... I am going through my spare AR parts bin... was pretty sure that I have a couple of QD end plates... Then I will swap out... then be able to see how it feels slung up in a better/more correct position...

BTW, have been able to get these Blue Force Gear, Vickers slings off of Ebay for $35 and free shipping, black only though...

Thanks for the offer of help... didn't realize you were down in Dallas area, I lived in Paulding County for 22 years...
Thanks for all the advise and wisdom...

Lots of good points in this thread.

Lets suspend you with a sling over a wood chipper.
We will let you pick the sling.
Do you pick the $9.99 sling or the stouter more expensive one?

LOL..all joking aside...you really really appreciate a good sling after two days of walking/running many many miles.

Small single point slings for shorter guns.
16" rifles can swing the barrel into the ground and other stuff if your not on your guard.

Two point horizontal is my preferred even on hunting rigs.
Swings up easily and protects the rifle a bit more in my opinion.

Quality can mean better plastic or steel fittings, nylon and better stitching.
Avoid plastic parts that easily flex/bend, any company worth their salt supplies robust gear.
